Question about 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee

2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee

When my car comes to a complete stop it dies. But it then starts back up. I had a new radiator put in last month. And had a vacum leak fixed last month. I just wonder if something was not done right.

Obviously check the vaccuum hoses to make sure everything is connected. Other than that I won't even try to guess. Code check for some clue!!!

2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee, approximately 127,000 miles. Vehicle is overheating in traffic or alot of stop lights. Temp drops when it receives clean air on the freeway. Battery died last week after being...

has this vehicle got antifreeze in it or are you one of these that lives in the south and never puts any in because it doesnt get cold enough ,same thing here in spain with the stupid english who come to live here ,stand up the bar and reckon they know it all with their la de da accents .Well your problem is caused by a blocked radiator that has gunged up with the rust that occurs inside your engine ,which is caused by no antifreeze to stop the corrosion as for the battery ??well they can last a month or ten years ,buy a bosch battery next time and not a cheepie .Anyway best of british with it and as a not i have just changed a jeep rad ,same model a 99 ,and the plastic **** rad was 600euros here in spain

My jeep wants to die

Sounds like it's time for a Major tune up including a new timing belt, plugs wires, sensors, plugs, belts and fluids transmission flushing, radiator flushing and tune, new hoses, clean battery post and cables replace if damaged. Oil change, new idle adjustment screw and check exhaust system for leaks.

Jeep wont start

The crank position sensor is on the bell housing of the transmission, very hard to see, on passenger side, below the valve cover, depending if it is an early 2000 or a later 2000 model.

you had to put alot of coolant into the system? sounds like a leak someplace. you had to just top it off with a splash? sounds like waterpump is going out if not out.
