My wife backed into the garage and knocked the passenger side mirror off. Does anyone know how I can fix it? It looks like some of the little knobs that latch it broke.

The mirror itself doesn't have any damage just the plastic it's attached to and the part on the mirror where it attaches. So they both need to be replaced? When I do does it come with that needed plastic piece.

If there is no damage to the door itself the mirror replacement is fairly easy on this model. Remove the inside plastic trim panel,it just snaps on. Disconnect the electrical connector remove the bolt in the center and there will be a screw toward the front of the door, remove it then remove the mirror.
Here is a pic of the bolt and screw.

If it has a painted cover on the outside of the mirror to match the color of the vehicle then that would have to be painted to match unless your old one did not suffer any damage then you could just swap it.It just snaps on also, and it may or may not come with a new mirror so I would ask when ordering it.

My wife hit a limb and broke the passenger side mirror so that it is hanging loosely and will not operate properly. How do I fix it?

check the mounting bracket if its broken you'll have to replace that , also, check the mount on the door itself, they get bent and with a little TLC can usually be bent back in place,, remove the inside trim piece to the mirror mount inside the door , from there you can see the mounting bolts that hold the mirror in place, if the actual plastic section of the mirror got broke, there is no real fix for that , I suggest getting a replacement at a local junk yard,

2000 Pontiac Grand Prix Passenger Side rear view mirror

As the owner of a 2001 Grand Prix GTP I can tell you that the mirror you speak of is not terribly difficult to replace, but you need the tools to remove the inside panels in the front corner of the window to get to it. Once you get that off there should be three bolts/nuts that hold the mirror on and if you have power mirrors then of course you'll have an electrical connector in there as well.

I dont have any instructions wrote up but there is a Grand Prix car club forum you can check that may have some information on how to replace it in more detail. You can go to grandprixforums.net, sign up and post up your problem and Im sure someone there will probably have specific instructions.

How do I replace broken 2002 buick century passenger side mirror?

On the inside trim, you can remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. Then you'll need to manipulate the panel and disconnect the door handle linkage from the door handle and disconnect the wiring for your controls. Then you can access the bolts that secure the mirror onto the door
