Go to an autozone store, or similar auto parts store and they will show you exactly where it is and have a replacement you can purchase.

If you want to look yourself:
Check the hose from the radiator on the passenger side of the engine. It is in the housing where it meets the engine. facing the engine,it is on the lower part of the block, passenger side.

please mark this as a fixya! thanks.

If you don't have the 4.7L engine, follow the top radiator hose to the thermostat housing. If you have the 4.7, follow the bottom radiator hose to the engine and the housing.

2001 dodge dakota sport 4.7. i flushed the radiator, now it won't take all of the antifreeze that is required for refill. help

You have an air bubble. Look for plug on top of the intake manifold next to the thermostat housing, Remove that and fill until coolant starts to run out. Put plug back in loosely and continue filling until no more goes in. Tighten plug and replace your radiator cap. Fill overflow bottle and start engine.

Yes they should interchange. Any auto salvage yard will have a parts interchange reference manual or software to confirm this.
