Question about 1997 Volkswagen Jetta
We have a 4-door 97 jetta. This morning, went to unlock the doors and all unlocked okay, but drivers side front door will not open from outside or inside. All other doors open fine and there handle of drivers door 'feels' okay. Please advise and thanks for your help.
One thing... If your last 3 doors works fine it's mean that problem is only in your drivers side. In VW like nickalxjoe wrote is air pump. So there might be an air leaking which you can hear. So if you can hear from where air running out try to fix this first.

There is a vaccuum inside the door that locks and unlocks it. Even if the lock looks up, it may not be. Try unlocking twice from the passenger side door. If this doesn't work, don't lock the car until a mechanic looks at it becuase your alarm could arm and it won't disarm easily. Hope this helps!
