Rear LED strip light not working

The Rear strip light is not working, I tested the power coming to unit and there doesn't seem to be any power at unit. Without tearing the car apart, where does the power come from for the strip light

I have a 93 Nissan pathfinder, the rear window defroster dosent work, how do i trouble shoot and repair it. also, i cant seem to get the cruse control to work, how do i trouble shoot and repair it. tha

The rear window defroster can be tested by checking for power out of the fuse box to the switch which operates a relay usually 4 pin 2 pins are the controlling side and the other 2 are battery power and the window element wire. Some switches have a led light in them that shows power is completed thru the switch . With a volt meter test wires at rear window some times if to many breaks in the grid stops the system from working. the cruise control has a servo with it's own throttle cable check for broken cable and check for engine vacuum to servo. then test switches on steering column with a ohm meter for proper continuity and test brake light switch.

Hey, i own a husqvarna sm610 and im trying to remove the stock tail light and blinkers and install a new LED tail tidy strip.

Keep things simple and make this much easier. You will need a test light and probe each of the wires and you will have to do each wire while the lights are on, then the brake applied and then the turn signal and you will be in business in short order. Be shure to make all connections secure and use shrink tubing to waterproof the wires.

The lights on the spoiler of my 2004 Lincoln LS do not work. What should I do?

I would check the harness to see if the strip is getting power and ground.
Sometimes the strip has to be replaced as a unit if they are LED lights.

I have the same problem with my 1991 honda accord. The brake light on the driver side works but the passenger side and the back window brake light doesn't. It's not a fuse problem. I've check them all. It...

I assume you have replaced the lamps/globes with new ones, if not this is the first thing to try.
If your car is fitted with a "faulty light" sensor, ( i.e. if a warning light on the dashboard comes on when you apply the brake and a brake light bulb is not working), this may be the problem. Follow the wiring for the rear lights from the light clusters inside the trunk and you may find the wiring harness plugged into an encapsulated unit in the rear somewhere. Test if power is coming out of this unit when brakes are applied. Or, remove the covers on the brake light clusters from inside the car and check the wiring to the rear window brake light. Very often this is connected to the same ground as the drivers side light. However, the parking and tail and reversing lights usually work off the same ground, so this seems unlikely.

I have a Bentley GTC 2007 and the LED strip light is only half working any information on this would be good.

Some leds out in a power strip usually mean those leds are blown. You will probably have to replace the entire strip.

Rear defrost stopped working. All contacts are on

The strips that are attached to the glass that run horizontally always suffer from the age old problem of corrosion. The best way to tell if it is these strips that is causing the problem is to hook up an ohm meter (x10 setting) and check for continuity. If this is good, the relay that feeds the defroster is probably bad or disconnected. This is located under the dash by the fuse box. Check to see if it clicks, and further check to see if you actually get 12v at the contacts back at the back glass. (12-50v setting). If you get 12v and the strips check infinite ohms, problem is, of course, the strips. Best fix is a new glass, but there are kits available that might be able to fix it (various results). Good luck.
