Question about 2003 Mercedes-Benz C-Class
If that is the diesel model... i would suggest the heaviest duty battery that is in your budget. diesels basically work because they have hi compression ratios. which means your starter has to work harder just to turn over the motor. the 44AH is a 300 amp battery which isn't all that powerful.
Incidentally... most of the batteries i've looked at have a 3 year gaurentee. if you kept the receipt... take it back where you bought it and get it replace. i would also have the alternator tested to check the output of it.
couldn't find your car in my manual as it appears it's a uk/european model
