Could be air mass meter very common for loss of power problems and will usually fail on a car at least once in it`s lifetime. If your getting bad consumption this could be your answer. Get it diagnostic checked for around £30 this may hold the real answer. Good luck.

According to service manual after 80,000 miles in normal use; or 48,000 miles for arduous use. A lot of stop-start driving is known as arduous use. But to be on safe side, give a call to peugeot dealer and all informations are free of charge.

The injectors are stopped up. Start simple. Use a fuel additive in the tank that is designed to break up this buildup. If the problem still persists then you may need to pull the injectors to clean the screens manually. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Only way to tell what is wrong is to have the computer scanned to read what code is stored in the Engine Control Module (ECM).
Any of the large parts stores, eg. Advance Auto, Autozone, Pep Boys, etc. should be able to scan it for free.

A clogged, overheated catalyst can do this, it sends a signal to the computer and lowers performance plus increases the gas usage.
