SOURCE: My Grand Voyager keeps getting codes P1776 P1784

Code p1776 is solenoid switch valve latched in low/reverse position. Valve is located in valve body not solenoid body. The possibilities are:
the low/reverse pressure switch itself is bad
the transmission control relay output circuit is open
the control circuit (sense) of the l/r switch is open, shorted to ground or shorted to voltage.
The control relay's output is on pin #6 of the 8-pin plug of the transmission (red wire); you could verify that the wire has 12V on it when you are idling (and I guess I would put it in gear with the brakes applied). Also examine/shake the wire for intermittent connection possibility.
The solenoid sense circuit connects pin # 8 (light blue) to pin #50 of the transmission control module. You could check that connection and monitor it for voltage to fluctuate between 0V and some measurable V when the trans is shifting normally, and to loose that fluctuation when it is not, which would verify the circuit is OK.
If that proved to be OK, then I would suspect the switch isn't responding and needs to be changed.
The solenoid box is removable after you drop the pan and remove the valve body, and so it would not seem to be an horrendous expense (compared to a rebuild). I haven't done this myself so I can't comment on doing-it-yourself.
I would try to find a competent independent shop that know the Chrysler trans and discuss it with them as to the cost of replacing the l/r pressure switch as the alternative

The code p1784 is about the switch that monitors the hydraulic pressure for operating the low/reverse clutch of the transmission. That clutch is called into play for all forward gears as well as reverse, so it seems reasonable if that clutch were not working that the car wouldn't move in any gear. I would begin by making sure that there is sufficient trans fluid by inspecting its dipstick. If needed only use ATF +4 but don't overfill it. Also, just on a chance, take a look underneath to see if you see any motion of either the left or right half axles (or one moving, but one not) which would be another reason for no motion due to a drive shaft disconnection or some such anomaly. Other than that, your problem could be with the Low/Reverse solenoid switch in the solenoid pack portion of the transmission (the box on the driver's side of the trans) being stuck. That can be repaired without removing and rebuilding the transmission so let us hope that may be the cause. I would have the car towed to a good independent trans shop that has a reputation for knowing how to service the Chrysler electronic transmission.

DTC code p0700 is a transmission control system (mill light) which is related to the other two codes mentioned above.

SOURCE: 98 Plymouth breeze trouble codes

P0700 - Transmission Control System Malfunction.

P1391 - Intermittent Loss of CMP (Camshaft) or CKP (Cranckshaft).

P0725 - Engine Speed input Circuit Malfunction.

P1595 - Speed Control Solenoid Circuit Open Or Shorted

P0320 - Ignition Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction

I suggtes take off each sensor and test resistance in everyone (check this measure in the Service Manual), if they are out range,m just replace it.

Keep us updated.

SOURCE: 99 Breeze is running codes I need help on what I

I would replace your cam shaft position sensor. It can cause the car to start hard and run bad if it is bad. Let me know what engine you have and I will be able to tell you where it is located.

Before you panic unduly .. 0700 is just a warning that something is amiss. 1776 gives possible causes.

Your rule of thumb is that if your car drives okay .. it is okay .. but there's something you should do.

Any half-decent workshop should be able to solve the problem. It may be something as simple as a bad electrical connection or a fluid change is needed.

unable to locate description for P1776,can you get all systems scanned for codes again as 0700 just indicates that a fault has occurred that has lit the check light and logged at the ECU.
Obviously it will be related to the shift fault, maybe a speed sensor or a dirty fluid fault.

After getting the up to about 55-65mph then slow down to under 40mph it seems that the trans will not go back in to over drive, and now when it happens I get a low end tap as I go over 45mph and a light...

You need to have the solenoid inside your transmission replaced. That is the P1776 code, and it is what is causing the P0700 code.

Also, make sure to do a transmission fluid flush and change, along with changing the transmission filter.

I have a 2004 Dodge Intrepid SE and the check engine light has been on for several days. I took it to Auto Zone and they plugged in their tester. They gave me the following codes - P1776 and P0700. Please...

P0700 code is a generic code for Transmission Control System Malfunction

P1776 code means your solenoid switch valve is stuck in low reverse. (DTC 47) A stuck solenoid switch valve is a common occurrence in the valve body of the Dodge 41te transmission.

The first step would be to check the wiring to the solenoid from the TCM, then maybe try a new solenoid pack if the wiring is determined to be fine.

    Po700 and p1776

P0700 is EATX code present. It simply means that the engine computer has noticed that the transmission computer has a dtc in it. This causes the Pcm (engine computer) to turn the check engine light on. You will need to have the TCM (trans computer) checked for codes to know what to diagnose.

error code P1776 - Replace rear solenoid switch

Likely both related The P1776 probably kicked off the P0700 notification.

    Hope that helps! Happy Motoring!

Check engine light on 2005 town and country 3.3

(DTC) CODE # P0700....Transmission Control System (MIL Request)

    Translation:
Transmission Control Module (TCM) Malfunction or Failure.

    P0700 Information Code

The Transaxle Control Module (TCM) monitors the malfunction of sensors and actuators relating to transaxle control. If any malfunction is detected, the TCM informs the PCM by sending a signal (P0700 code). P0700 means that a code has been set in the TCM.

This code is for information ONLY. If this code is present, check for transaxle codes.

P1776: Solenoid Switch Valve Latched in Low/Reverse Position. The TCM monitors the L/R solenoid to ensure that the fluid transfer happens. It uses a Pressure switch to verify this. Usually this code is set by a switch that is stuck or a solenoid that is not mechanically operating.

A transmission shop would be better suited for this type of work.
