Defrost is a default if vaccum is lost from engine.. check behind batt in engine comp to see if batt has been leaking. this can cause the acid to drip on small black vacc lines from engine and cause a leak in the vacc system causing it to only blow in defrost . you can fix by cutting damagged vaccumm line and install a small rubber hose over cut ends .. the vaccum lines run between batt and fire wall

I have a 2002 Toyota Camry. My inside blower fan will not blow out at the floor any longer. It will only blow out from the front vents and the defrost.

You're as correct as you need to be on the situation. These blend doors/flaps that cover the openings of air flow, are all vacuum actuated and you have a problem with the actuator motors that open and close said doors. It could possibly be the switch/valve itself malfunctioning also.

My air condition and heat works on defrost only sometime comes out vents last seconds didn't matter were controller set

Not sure what year, make or model vehicle is in question, but the issue is due to an actuator that has gone bad. Sometimes referred to as a mode actuator or blend door actuator. This actuator controls where air/heat will blow from (defroster vent, forward vents, floor vents or combo, etc.). Good luck. Ron @ Speed-O-Repair.

95 TAHOE. blowing hot air from the floor no matter what i have it set to. Will cool off if i turn a/c to max. but it's annoying , and keeps the cabin hot. Both a/c and heat work, and I'm also able to...

there is a gate in the air duct plumbing that routs the air through a small radiator to heat the air for the heater, being that it's a '95 model it could be either button control (servo motor on the gate) or cable control.
which ever it is, that gate is not being actuated

Is the correct name for the part that controls the air flow from a/c to defrost called the A/C Heating Servo Unit, the defrost does not completely defrost the front windshield but the a/c works just f

Well it would be the "mode door GM pt#88986538" or the "mode control cam actuator GM pt#89023358" on the side of the heater case. The door would control where the air comes out and the actuator tells the door where the setting is at on the control head.

2004 Pontiac Montana blows cold air in defrost

There is a mix damper inside your duct that controls the heat over heater core and ac evaporator that to your floor and one to your defrost. it is probable an electric actuator, that is not functioning properly. If yu can locate it and manually move it, you might have to remove the actuator motor first, you should be able to figure out your problem, I hope this helps! merry Christmas!

Heater only blow out the vents

There are servos that move air control gates, some were controlled electrically, and some were vacuum. It sounds like there's a vacuum line off the vacuum reservoir under the hood, or a vacuum line has came off one of the servo diaphragms.
