Pull out the spark plugs one at a time and check to see if they are firing. I had the same problem while merrily driving at 70mph. All of a sudden I lost spark in one spark plug wire. It just went without warning.

There is a mist that comes from the vent near windshield inside the car and fogs it up leaving a residue. If heat is on the inside of car will get filled with mist

You have a leaking heater core. This is not the kind of job I recommend for the less experienced. Quite complicated.

Shakes a lot during idle. I have already replaced the EGR valve, AC clutch, serpentine belt, belt tensioner and three motor mounts. It stops shaking and runs well once you press on the gas. Does not shake...

Try taking it to Autozone or Oreillys for a free scan. At the very least, you want to know what the idle rpm is set at.

It sounds like you may have a leaking Intake manifold gasket. You would test for this with a water mist from a spray bottle. While the engine is running spray around the intake gasket and any Vacuum lines you see. The RPM will change when you find the leak.

I see you want to slow down the idle. If the idle speeded up on its own, that is a sign of an Intake leak. There is a part called a throttle position sensor,TPS, which is really your accelerator. It has a slight RPM adjustment slot on one side of the 2 mounting screws. Both screws must be loosened to move the part.

I am not understanding why, if the engine runs better when you press on the gas, would you want to slow the idle down (which is like not pressing on the gas)?

Anyway, I hope my solutons are very helpful to you and that you can fix your car. Maybe the scan at Autozone will help you.

My car shakes bad when it rains

When it's running bad does the "check engine light" flash? A flashing check engine light indicates a missfire, which sounds like what's happening. I would look for moisture entry at the ignition coils. You could try misting water on the ignition components with it dark and look or listen for arching. It could be arching in the spark plug tubes so not seeing the arch doesn't necessarily mean it's not happening.

It is misting up because there is a leak in the housing somewhere. The solution would be to find the leak and sealing it with RTV. This would usually require removing the headlight assembly from the car to inspect it.
