It honestly doesn't matter...you start with the longest plug wire that is furthest away from the coil pack contact and work your way to the shortest.

How do I change plugs and wires on a 1997 v-6 CAMARO?

you can change each plug and wire one at a time so you don`t mix up the wire order. twist and pull the plug wire off the plug then using a 5/8" spark plug socket with an extension and ratchet and remove the plug. take new plug and gap the plug to proper gap which will be .045" and install into engine. then remove the plug wire from any holding brackets and the distributor cap and match the wire length with a new wire and install the same way. then proceed to the next one.

How do i change the plugs and wires on a 1996 lexus ls 400

The spark plugs are located in well in the valve cover, remove them one at a time with a deep 5/8 good quality spark plug socket 3/8" drive on a 12 inch extension and a like sized ratchet. Remove the spark plug boot from the plug with a twisting motion side to side with the spark plug out remove the spark plug wire for that cylinder from the distributor cap and match it by length to the new wire in the spark plug wire set, make sure you get the closest one in length to the original wire, this is important. In stall the spark plug back into the valve cover well and attach the long plug boot to it in a twisting motion, use a little silicone grease on the inside of the boot to ease installation, it is supplied with the wire kit. Repeat this for each cylinder and match the individual wire lengths as you go as close as possible to the original wires. PLEASE NOTE: IF YOU FIND OIL ON THE PLUGS OR WIRE BOOTS THE VALVE COVER GASKET IS LEAKING INTO THE SPARK PLUG WELLS AND MUST BE REPLACED.

DIAGRAM ON FIRE ODER 1999 TAHO 5.7 VORTEC MOTOR

Firing Orders
NOTE: To avoid confusion, remove and tag the spark plug wires one at a
time, for replacement.

If a distributor is not keyed for installation with only one orientation, it
could have been removed and installed improperly and then rewired. The new
wiring arrangement would maintain the correct firing order, but could change the
relative placement of the plug towers in relation to the engine. For this reason
it is imperative that you label all wires before disconnecting any of them.
Also, before removal, compare the current wiring with the accompanying
illustrations. If the current wiring does not match, make notes of the current
plug wire locations and orientation of the distributor cap.

How to install spark plug wires in a 93 accord - the 3rd from the left has popped out of the valve cover

Just get a new set of wires from the parts store, pull one at a time and match it's length to a new one. Plug it in both ends, go right around the coil or dist, whatever you have there, and you should be all set. What caused it to pop out? Spark plug loose? Check it out.

Removing the spark plugs

Purchase the replacement set and lay the wires out. Remove only one wire at a time and match the length with the new wires and use the one which is the same length. Install that wire and repeat this method for the remaining wires.

What order do i plug the spark plugs into the distributor on 1989 honda civic 1.5L

The plug wires are different lengths for different spark plugs. The best way to not get messed up is to do one wire at a time. Unplug old wire from distributor and plug, compare it to the new ones, find the new one that is the same length and replace. You don't want to get the wires mixed up. Hope this helped.
