Question about 1998 Ford F150 Regular Cab
Is this occuring on only one door? If so, chances are you probably have a faulty door switch, which would control the dome light and the door ajar light. Check for a push button type switch on the inner door jam closest to the fender, if there is not one there, then you may have the type of switch that works off the actual door latch assembly itself which would be located on the latch, you would have to remove your inner door panel to access this.
