I have checked both fuel lines that lead to the fuel bar and I see nothing like the regulator that I received from napa auto parts. A week ago I replaced my fuel pump and the fuel pump is working correctly, it is pushing out a three foot stream up on the fuel line when I take out the valve steam. There is nothing resembling the regulator I bought on either end of the engine. Exactly where is the location of the fuel pressure regulator on my car? Thanks for the help.

There are 2 fuel lines connecting to the fuel injector rail. The larger line is the pressure line and the smaller line is the return line. The smaller line attaches to the fuel pressure regulator. You will notice that the regulator also has a vacuum line attached to it. If you are planning on changing it your self, let me know. There is a specific way to change it for safety reasons.
Let me know.

Below is a picture of the 4 and 6 cylinder fuel rails with regulators, not sure which engine you have. Each regulator is at the end of the fuel rail.

Hope this helps, let me know.

I replaced the fuel pump in my 1999 Oldsmobile alero in may of 2012 when I start my car I get a big smell of gas just like I did when it went out before could it be going bad already

I'd use a gage and check proper fuel pressure. Also, check for external gas leak, at the fuel pump--fuel lines--fuel injector/s--fuel pressure regulator, and check evap system.

What does the fuel pressure gauge for 2002 olds alero look like

Do you mean the Fuel Pressure Regulator?
Otherwise a fuel pressure guage looks like a large dial indicator on one end and a rubber hose on the other.

How to replace fuel pressure regulator 2000 Olds. Alero V-6

relieve fuel system pressure. on the v6, detach the fuel return line from the fuel pressure regulator. remove the mounting fasteners, and detach fuel regulator from rail. on the v6 install the fuel return line before tightening the regulator mounting screws. otherwise a leak could develop. be sure to replace all O-ring seals, and coat them with a lite coat of oil. have a good one !!

Not getting enough fuel .will only go 5 mh and now will idle but stalls when you try to take off

CHECK FUEL PRESSURE IT SHOULD BE 41 TO 47 PSI. IF NOT REPLACE FUEL FILTER..IF DONT HELP FUEL PUMP BAD.IF FUEL PRESSURE GOOD.CHECK VACUUM LINE TO FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR SHOULD BE GETTING VACUUM IF NOT FIX BROKEN VACUUM LINE TO PRESSURE REGULATOR.IF FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR GETTING VACUUM THEN THE FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR IT SELF IS BAD.

Fuel Pressure Regulator Leaking

make sure engine is turned off, unplug the hose slowly and make sure there is no fuel pressure, you will have a little bit of gas leak but not much. Unlossen the bolt with torx head bit screw driver or driver, pull it off all the way. Once you got that one bolt off, push down on the locking clip that attaches your fuel regulator to manifold. Twist off the old pressure regulator and then install the new one in. Make sure you check the box your regulator came in, and look for the packaged o-ring. Its that simple. I just replaced mine in my 2001 alero, took more time analyzing how to pull the old one off. Hope this will help you.

Olds alero 2.4 idle fuel pressure

most likely idle air control sensor or low engine coolant I know sounds funny but IAC uses coolant to regulate idle. Idle air control valve or throttle body positioning sensor.
