Question about 1997 Toyota Camry

1 Answer

CAmry Head lights and tail lights off

I have a Camry 1997 model. Suddenly the Head Lights and tail lights have stopped working. The High beam works when I pull the lever towards me.Just when I putv the ignition key and turn it on there's a chattering noise and when I turn it off the chattering happens again. The windows roll up and down but the door won't lock using the switch. There is again a chattering noise when I try to do it. I checked all the fuses and they are fine. All other stuff a/c wiper/heater etc work fine. Is it a faulty relay somewhere. I tried to get access to the panel but can't see anything other than  black box to which there are connectors attached. Please help !!

How to fix my toyota camry front and back lights

well off the top of my pointed head, i would say you have a bad switch. you can verify this by injecting pos. voltage at the switch. also use a test light or meter at the switch, turn on the lights and see if you have voltage. if you dont problem solved, if you do look for a relay that could be bad. good luck.

Low beam headlights dont work

Generally that happens when your low beam bulbs burn out. I have had that happen a couple of times, no warning, no indication leading up to it.

I would just replace the bulbs.

1997 camry toyota rear running lights dont work. bulbs are fine and all other electronics work, why is this and how can i fix it?

look for a tail light relay and fuse--probably in the engine compartment relay box. Try swapping the tail light relay with the horn relay and see if the lights work. If yes, replace the relay. Please let me know if you have more questions.

1997, Camry. On the dash indicator states replace bulb, rear light failure warning light. So I checked ALL lights every one of them is working, back up lights, brake lights, tail lights, blinkers, hazards,...

Also, can be as simple as the bulb itself and the housing it sits in. Some bulbs are practically almost flat ... barely having a lil node or bump protruding out to make connection at the contact point. Also, check down in the housing where the bulb makes contact...... I had to add a lil solder.

Park lights work on 1995 Camry but brake lights don't.. high beams work but low beams don't. All bulbs have been replaced but still not working. Any ideas?

for the brake lights check your fuses and relays and for your low beams your multifunction lever needs to be changed.
