Check fuses, if ok, check power at blower motor, if around 12v, you need a Blower motor

Heater fan wont turn on

first check the fuse for the blower fan. if ok check if there is current going to the fan plug on top of the passenger kick panel or behind the glove compartment if there is current change the blower fan and the fan resistor next to it.

Fan wont come on

engine fan or heater fan???????
my gess is your talking about the engine fan,,so the motor is over heating,,,,change the fan censor in the engine block first,, you can also check the fan works first by shorting out the two pin plug from the heater censor on the engine block this will start the fans up

2000 Silhouette: HEATER WONT GIVE OFF HEAT THEIR IS HEAT BUT WONT S...

Check the water level. If the water is low it will not allow water into the heater core to produce heat. If there is water keep an eye on your temperature gauge It should reach at least 140 to 170 degrees. If it is staying colder than that you have a stuck thermostat which is allowing the water to flow to much and not let the engine warm up. The only other solution is if the fan is not working properly replace the fan relay for you blower.

Heater wont work a fuse maybe? some how I doubt it. the rear window heater works. fan dead perhaps? no fan at all. not sure about heat.

Hi: Sounds like a possible heater resistor problem. First check to see if heater fan working, unplug heater under hood and put 12 volts to it from the battery with a wire (single black wire running to back of fan). If works then problem probably the resistor which is located on the fan housing under the hood to the right of the fan. The resistor has wires to it running from the heater fan, 2 - 7mm screws holding resistor in place, check resistor to see if any of the 3 elements are melted off, if so replace. Note: Rear window defrost has nothing to do with heater fan. Hope this helps...
