Question about 2000 Chevrolet Silverado

1 Answer

1999 silverado 115k-skipping,no power almost won't go under had excelleration. Not shifting right, bucking, numb.Had po171 and misfire codes-which it has had off and on for three years. Finally changed bank 1 s2 02 sensor. Scanned misfire codes-#2,3,4,5,6. Change spark wires,3,5,ok now.Changed coil and injector on #2,4. #6 still looks odd. Now can almost not make it home.#2 has 3000+ misfire.Sprayed around all injectors, intake, found no leaks. Money is used up, I can't figure this out on my own,any help. This is a service truck so it is needed all the time, hard to live without this truck.Had to use wifes car last night, that didn't go over well.Just to add that this truck gets a regular maintainence schedule.Filters,fluids,belts,etc.Thanks Wtb3rd.

Thanks guys, after changing fuel pump due to 48 psi (was told it should be 55psi and higher) ,and alot more testing ,we discovered that the cats are at 17% efficiency. Will change out cat system soon and let everyone know how it works out. Thanks again to the tech that took the time and actually helped me, I will return the help if I can.

that should be a 700R4. probably a broken sunshell inside the tranny. need to have it rebuilt. Mine only cost 250 bucks for the parts, but the tranny guy is family.

1997 Chevrolet Silverado Z71 p0758 Won't shift

P0758 code is shift solenoid B electrical /2-3 shift solenoid circuit electrical, It better to inspect the wire going into the transmission they have a tendency to leak transmission fluid into the circuit make inspection for proper connection if you decide to replace the solenoid you still need to inspect the circuit for proper mating. If this solenoid fails and you wait to long to replace it you can loose the ECM due to the high power draw it takes from the ECM.

My 2001 toy, corolla showed a code of po171 so i changed the oxygen sensor then showed po300 , the car hesitate on excelleration but if you back up a little on the throttle it runs fine like the cat is...

P0171 is a lean code. Most common cause for this is a vacuum leak. The cat would throw a P0420 code. Don't mess with the cat. The P0300 code is a random misfire code. Look for a vacuum leak first.
