Question about 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee
I have been letting the car idol hours at a time got in my 1997 jeep grand cherokee to go to the store one morning, ran as normal went to leave the store hardly turned over would not take any gas at all and will not start, smole coming from the air filter, had the fuel pump tested its fine, the distributor cap thing is good, and can not find whats wrong, no check ingine light on at all, had the wires from the distributor cap replaced.. help!! I have 2 jobs, and no vehicle!!
Either the throttle postion sensor went out this is what tells the computer to let more fuel when you press on the gas,or map sensor maybe find someone with a scan tool and see if they can get real time data from the tps and it should if working properly the values should change smoothly when you press the throttle down.sounds like it floods out if you try to give it gas,but it is a sensor there are so many,my bet is tps
