Question about 2005 Chevrolet Cavalier

05 cavalier won't start

I have a 2005 chevy cavalier that won't start. it makes a sound like it wants to turn over but it won't. The only belt that i can see works fine, and I checked the fuses. when you turn the key and then let it go there is a whirling sound that comes from the engine, but I don't know what it is. What next??

My 05 chevy cavalier stopped running after i rear ended someone.. need help..

Sounds like its the fuel shut off switch. It has a reset button on it. Most cars they are in the trunk or under rear set cushion. Its for safety, just in case of a rear end accident it will shut the fuel off. Good-Day!

05 chevy cavalier won't start. It makes a whirring noise but doesn't click or start up. Has never had problems before. I have no clue what it could be

if its a really heavy whirring sound it could be a starter problem ,,,,, just make sure the battery is fully charged or just see if it starts with jump leads,,

98 chevy cavalier turns over but won't start

i know industry jargon can be confusing, but lets try this. if it turns over but won't start, it could be your ''ignition module'' that sits on top of the vave cover on the motor or it might be the fuel pump or filter. make sure when you crank the engine that the key is all the way turned or it may not always make a proper contact to activate the ignition module. iv'e seen this before & had to change the ignition switch & all worked ok after that. i would need to know engine lt size to give you more details on the matter. please get back to me.

Can a timing chain cause the valves to go bad if the timing chain breaks in a 2005 Cavalier? I have a Cavalier that wouldnt start. Long story short they replace the timing belt & still wont start. I...

Yes its a big fault if the timing belt breaks whilst the engine is running you could need a few new valves and possibly a new piston or two as well

We changed the fuel pump on our 05 cavalier, but cannot get it to crank, is there something else to check?

2001 chevy cavalier engine will not turn over, fuel pump will come on for 2 - 3 seconds, have spark, but engine will not start. noticed fuel odor in radiator is this possible.

Start problems chevy cavalier z-24 1898

You would need to check to make sure you have spark coming from the coil. Make sure you have fuel spraying from the fuel pressure valve. Make sure the distributor cap is not damaged and you have the correct timing set for the spark plugs, consult owners manual.
