Question about 1997 GMC Sierra K2500
Replaced the front rotors and pads on my 1997 GMC K2500 truck. I do not have an ABS light on, but just before I stop the anti-lock brakes come on every time and it takes me a couple more feet to stop. I have disassembled and re-assembled everything and I do not see a problem. I have bled the entire system thinking that might be my problem to no avail. Please help!!!
I have a 1997 chevy k2500 and had the same problem. My fix was where the abs sensor goes into the housing. There was a little bit of rust that pushed the sensor away from the housing just a little which caused a false reading. I removed the sensor and used a roloc disc to polish the metal and reinserted the sensor. I have had no problems since.

Did you check the alb sensor? You might also have the "return spring" stuck in the emergency brakes. Sometimes they break causing the brake to lock, which in turn activates the alb. Also, check the brake oil level, in some cars alb dont work properely if the oil level is too low. Good Luck
