1996 GMC Sonoma SLS 2.2 litre engine starts missing and looses massive power going up hill

This can be caused by anything limiting fuel pressure or ignition spark. Tune up items, bad coil/module, bad fuel pump, filter, relay, bad converter, muffler, dirty air filter, vacuum leak, EGR, or others.

94 gmc sonoma 4.3l vortec new coil, plugs, wires cap and rotor still no spark coming from the coil?

The ignition module in the distributor is what you need to give the engine spark to the plugs. It senses signals from the PCM to regulate the spark control and this item is the part that took over the old style point & condensor type ignitions. It is time for a new one in your truck

1999 sonoma has no spark is there a fuse or a relay that has gone bad

try replacing your coil pack first. if that doesnt work then try replacing your ignition module. but no spark all the time leads me to believe its a coil pack gone bad.

Engine not start up i install new battery, new ignition module, check fuell presure 45 psi. coil, order firing

Check you Cranckshaft Position Sensor....i have a 99 GMC Sonoma and i had the same problem. It would not start in the morning, and i replaced everything i could think of. ignition coil, distributor cap and rotor, wires and plugs and no luck. I could hear the fuel pump prime when i turned the key on, so i knew it was getting fuel. As it turned out the sensor (which is located on the front and bottom of the engine block just behind the Crankshaft drive belt pulley.) and was preventing the engine from starting. Check that out and that may be the cause of your problem
