Who determined bad BCM (body control module) for sure? Checked wires at door hinge area, for break, or weak spot. Need to open up loom and pull them out where they bend all the time, to see.

Why wont my windows and door locks work?

It could be several thing's, fuse's , circuit breaker's , broken wire's inside the rubber boot from the car body to the door , this happens a lot on older vehicles from opening the doors over the years . The drivers door is the master switch . You need to find what fuse's , circuit breaks Power these systems . You can find that info. here http://bbbind.com/free_tsb.html . check for B+ voltage with a volt meter at the door switch an also check grounds . There are videos on youtube - basic automotive electrical trouble shooting , how to read wiring diagrams (if you don't already know) . I'm looking at a wiring diagram now , I also see that a BCM - body control module is shown on the diagram . Do you know what a BCM is ? You can google it .In automotive electronics, body control module is a generic term for an electronic control unit responsible for monitoring and controlling various electronic accessories in a vehicle's body. Typically in a car the BCM controls the power windows, power mirrors, air conditioning, immobilizer system, central locking, etc. The BCM communicates with other on-board computers via the car's vehicle bus, and its main application is controlling load drivers - actuating relays that in turn perform actions in the vehicle such as locking the doors or dimming the salon overhead lamp. If you are not familiar with these thing's your best bet would be to take your vehicle to a qualified repair shop that does .

Jaguar 2002 all power windows not working. Also power mirrors not working. Fuses all ok.

These are all controlled through a computer commonly called the BCM. It has self test capabilities, have the test run by the dealer.

1999 gmc jimmy power windows locks mirrors wont work

If none of the mirrors or locks work, then you will very likely find a blown MIR/LCK Fuse #7 (10 Amp) in the underhood fuse block. If this is the case, you need to find out WHY the fuse blew because if you simply replace it, it will most likely do it again. Otherwise, the locks and mirrors also connect to the Body Control Module (BCM). I would recommend scanning the BCM for fault codes.

The windows are a completely separate circuit. They have nothing in common with the mirrors or locks other than than that they all ultimately get power from the battery and the circuits run through the umbilicals that go between the body and the doors.

If none of the windows are working, the most likely cause is an open power circuit or open ground circuit at the driver's door. This could be either a bad master control switch or is could be that the wires inside the umbilical are broken (fairly common).

My power windows and mirrors stopped working what fuse number is that its a 2004 jeep grand cherrokke LE

First, a little "auto repair 101" Fuses are NEVER the CAUSE of an electrical circuit failure. Blown fuses are ALWAYS the RESULT of an electrical circuit failure. Simply replacing a fuse without locating and correcting the reason the fuse blew in the first place, will only cause another fuse to give up its life to keep your vehicle from burning to the ground. (In which case, the first fuse has thus died in vain.)
.
Now that we have that straight, I'll give you some information about your particular vehicle. The power windows and the power mirrors in a 2004 Grand Cherokee are controlled by the electronic door modules located inside the doors. These door modules are, in turn, operated by the Body Control Module. (BCM) If all of the windows and mirrors are not working the cause is probably on the BCM side of the equation. There may be a voltage supply problem to the BCM or there may be a data line problem between the BCM and the door modules. (The phone line might be dead :) )

The only accurate way to diagnose this problem is to scan the BCM for fault codes and use BCM data to assist in determining where the cause of the problem may be located.

Power window problems

These function through a control module called a BCM, check the fuses first if ok then have the BCM tested for function.
