Debris stuck between two elements is shorting out the fuse, even if the heater is off there is still enough current running through them to cause a short circuit, try opening the vents and give them a clean, or use high pressure air to get the debris out from between them. Also check the foam filter at intake level as this may be torn and letting in leaves and stuff. Good luck!

Heater fan not working - 30 amp HVAC fuse blows out repeatedly when replaced. Where should I look for root cause? Have dash disassembled, but can't see any bare wires anywhere behind radio/climate...

Try unplugging the blower motor, heater control unit and blower motor resistor. Replace the fuse then reconnect the items 1 by 1 and see what pops the fuse.

1992 gmc pickup keeps blowing heater fuses I replaced the blow motor and it keeps blowing

Have you replaced the blower resistor . some times they can cause the fuse to blow . You may need a muiltmeter to test the current draw on the blower motor circuit. the draw should be less then half of the rated fuse .( 20 amp fues draw is less then 10 amps) You did not say but does the blower work on high only or the lower speeds with out blowing the fuse ? if it does work on low or high with out blowing the fuse i would replace the blower resistor

Which fuse operates the ac & heater blower on a 2001 ford Taurus. Box is under the hood with many empty socket and no diagram.

There is a fuse box inside the car to the left of the steering column. fuse 228 10 amp and fuse 208 40 amp. Check power to the blower motor connector. Check for water in blower. I have seen water get into blower motor and short out. Good luck I hope this helps.
