Yes,there is muliple years that fits.88-99 chevy or gmc 1500 models. You will need to know if it has a 10 bolt or 14 bolt cover and the ratio. In the glove box you will see a I.D. sticker with codes on it.GT4 (3.73),GU6(3.42) or GT5(4.10) ratio's.If you purchace a used rearend ,be sure to check where the u-bolt brackets mount on the housing underneath. The housing is known to rot out there.Hope this helps and good luck.John.

My rear passenger side door handle has cracked. Insurance says it's not from the accident. Can anyone verify that this can happen from the jolt? I was standing in traffic with my foot on

it could possible be done and proved but the cost of the investigation would be excessive to prove a replacement for a handle that costs a few dollars is justified

well i dont know if older rears would work due to design. but you could lock tite this pin on the same model year, make sure you get same gear ratio on the replacement axle.

I hv a '01 Aurora w/ 105000miles. On choppy pavement, the rear tends to skip sideways w/assoc knocking noises like worn or loose struts. Left rear tire on outside shows more wear than the other three....

This is related to the "link assy" parts on the rear end. They are about 30" long. One end bolts near the center of the car. The other ends have a tie-rod type end and mount to the rear wheel assembly.
The knocking noises are because the link assy are bad. About $70.00 each for these. I would also check the upper shock mounts on the rear. These go bad and will cause noise as well. About $15.00/ea. Easy to replace.
The skip sideways is because the link assy or rear alignment is off. This is easily fixed and should be done as soon as the parts are replaced.

2003 chevy s10 2wd- shop had replaced leaf springs because one broke due to an accident. frame ok alignment not much needed.. after driving a week rear end got loud on acceleration. now rear end...

These are most likely part of the accident damage. While you are fixing this double check to make sure that the axle on the side that was hit isn't bent as well. Also check the axle tubes from the differential to make sure they aren't bent either. An accident that had enough force to break a spring and bend a driveshaft is strong enough to bend the other parts as well. Been there, done that, got the T-shirt. Check the axle and tubes carefully and be sure. Hope this helps.

How do I replace a 1995 Pontiac Sunfire's rear license plate lamp

I haven't worked on a '95 sunfire in many years but if memory serves me correctly the light is a sealed unit. The best bet is to get a replacement at the local auto parts store and use it as a model to guide you.

No brake lights on 95 Suburban

Bad or borken wire harness in the steering coloum. check power to brake switch, should have power on one side, if not check the fuse if fuse is good and you have no power then your turn signal switch or harness is bad.

Passenger side rear compartment window - antenna in glass?

Depends, could be defroster could be antenna for radio, could be both. IF you don't see an antenna on your hood on passenger side then its most likely the antenna.
