Question about 1996 Toyota Celica
1996 Toyota Celica battery was removed for charging. when battery was replaced, remote vehicle security system no longer worked. Security system is a toyota fitted unit P/N 08191-20810 with 2 touch pads. unit in car has a red light and 1 button, which never seemed to do anything. Smaller pad on remote never seemed to do anything.
Hi, Contact your dealer and get instructions for reprogramming your remotes. When a security system loses power for an extended amount of time the programming for the remotes are lost.

Hello "problem with 1996 Toyota Celica", I have the same problem and all I can get out of the Dealer is that they can reset it for $40. This is not a very fair answer. If you find out how to reset the Security system is a toyota fitted unit P/N 08191-20810 with 2 touch pads... would you be able to let me know and I will do likewise. Thank you
