Which sensor? The solenoid pack is located on the front, under a black rubber cover, right under where the cooler lines go it. But this is only on the 4 speed Trans. If you have a three speed trans, there is no solenoid pack on the outside. Also the 3 speed does not have an input shaft or output shaft speed sensor, only a vehicle speed sensor.

There are many sensors, transd has to be scanned for codes first to determine the problem or you could waste alot of money by changing parts

Depends on the transmission code. But the 604's have always had problems with the solenoid packs.

My 1997 plymouth voyager when u put it in reverse it pauses then jerks real hard transmission fluid is fine

You need to connect a scan tool( not a code puller)and look at the CVI values. If low/reverse is over 85 then you have a bad transmission. If not then suspect a bad solenoid pack and or restricted filter.Reverse requires twice as much pressure as forward does so if there is a pump volumn problem you will feel it in reverse first.

My 93 plym voyager, 3.0 has a hesitation when

if your having cold engine start hesitation, you need to check the engine temp switch,it tells the computer how cold it is,so the engine can adjust to a rich start and not a lean one.if the switch is faulty and the computer is being told it is 80degrees,you will not get a rich mixture like no choke at all

This same thing happened to my daughter,s car, and it ended up being fixed with a transmission speed sensor. This sensor not only runs the speedometer, it helps tell the transmission when to shift too.

Voyager transmission problem

Sounds like you need a solenoid pack to start, and possibly a service. If the tranny is not slipping, the solenoid pack is stuck and not tell it to shift up. Could possibly be a TCM, but not as likely.

the c solenoid is located in the transmission, valve body you have to drop the transmission pan and locate the solenoid, this is a job best suited to a transmission shop,or some one with a lift.

Transmission problem

There are only a few connectors that need plugged in. The first one is the solenoid pack which has eight wires and a bolt that goes through the connector. then the range sensor which will be located by the shifter shaft, will have either round or flat spade like pins. The wiring is the same only difference is the connnector; you may need to get a matching plug if the new one doesn't match your vehicle's harness. Then there are two speed sensor plugs that are small simple push in plugs that have two wires each. You may or may not have a crank sensor to plug in, if you do it will plug in kind of on top of the bell housing more towards the firewall. That should be it.
