Fuel pump relay or fuse

I have a 2001 lincon Towncar and has no fuel pressure and no power to the fuel pump. Where can I find the fuel pump fuse/ or relay?I can't find the fuse or the relay either. The fuse/relay box under the hood dosen't show a fuse or relay, even the repair manuals don't show it. My car died while driving, It does not have any fuel pressure in the fuel rails. I'm not sure if its a fuse, relay,or the fuel pump.

Go to this web site and on the left task bar pick owners guide then put in your vehicle information and pick owners manual. Go to page 152 for the battery junction box information, the fuel pump relay is relay no. 1, the fuse that feeds it is no. 22 (20 amp). Now this vehicle is equipped with a fuel pump prime connector. It is located under the hood on top of the left fender apron. The wire colors to it are LB/OG and DG/YE.Check for voltage on the LB/OG and if you have power there(fuse 22 is good) then jumper the connector, if pump runs then then your problem is the relay itself or the fuse no. 20 (15 amp) this feeds the coil side of relay.or PCM is not grounding the relay.
Also look in the left side of trunk and behind the panel on the left side near the trunk hindge is the inertia switch push the button on top to make sure it hasn't tripped.
If the switch is not tripped then check for voltage to the switch on the DG/YE wire and if you have it there then check the other side PK/BK if you have it here then the last thing in the circuit is the pump itself.

1999 lincon town car no power to fuel injector

Sometimes a crankshaft sensor does not send the signal to fire either the spark or the fuel injectors. If the fuel pump relay is not getting power, the inertia sensor will not have power either. The inertia reset is just magnetic and does not depend on having power to reset.

You can check for current at the Inertia sensor and at the fuel pump relay. You can also have fuel pressure at the test port without the injectors working, which is the easiest test of all,

You need the sequential firing pulse for the injectors. Have you checked the EEC Relay?

Will not start will crank will start with starting fluid but when quit spraying eng quits

`Probably the fuel pump in the tank has stopped working. Verify with a check for power at the gas tank connector: When the engine is cranking, the fuel pump wire should have power on it-use a test light or voltmeter. If the wire has power, but pump will not turn on, the gas tank will have to be removed to replace the pump.
Just by turning the key to on, not start, will or should cause the fuel pump to come on for about 2 seconds to pressurize the fuel lines and put gas under pressure against the fuel injectors. If you don't hear the pump buzz on for a brief time, you know you need to check the fuel pump circuit. Check fuse, check fuel pump relay...but the easiest way to verify a bad pump is to check fuel pressure, or check for power at the gas tank when the engine is cranking. No power is a fault in the circuit (fuse, relay, wiring), power available to the pump but no pump means the pump will have to be replaced .

Cold start problem mazda 2001

Could be the fuel pump relay, or a faulty pump, or pressure regulator.
The fuel system is supposed to hold pressure after you turn the engine off. A faulty pump or pressure regulator could allow fuel to drain back into the tank overnight. You would need to crank the engine for several seconds to build pressure back up.
The relay could be faulty and not giving the fuel pump power until the oil pressure comes up.

Does a 91 lincon towncar have a fuel pump reset button

It has a inertia switch. For accidents. It is located in the trunk on the passenger side , up by the back seat. It does not have a reset per say. If it is not the switch mentioned then try smacking the tank in the middle. This will jar the pump and if it starts working replace the pump. This will only work so many times.

Truck will not start, has fire. relay ok. no trouble codes.

when you turn the key in 'on' position, do you hear the fuel pump hum? check under hood in black box,,fuses,,and relays. for bad fuse or fuel pump relay bad. try bumping fuel tank with something hard to see if fuel pump will engauge with key on. maybe bad pump. have you had off road? look for pulled plug from fuel pump underneath near gas tank.have you bent or damaged your igbition key somehow? the key sends a signal to your cars computer to engauge the pump and crankshaft sensor.but if you do have fire,,,it's a fuel problem, so you are on the right track. if nothing i've said helps, check for a bad fuel pressure regulator.hope this helps and thank you for choosing fixya.com!!

Fuel pump relay or fuse

In most cars it is located at the fuse box or relay fusebox inside the engine compartment or near the fuel pump itself. It could aslo be the fuel pressure regulator if the fuel pump is good.
