I have a 2003 mazda 6 2.3 engine has a misfire. could this be an ecm problem?

Have the fuel trims been checked? These (short term fuel trim - STFT and long term fuel trim - LTFT) can be checked with an OBDII tool, and can provide a lot of information about what may be happening. If you have a vacuum leak, for instance, the O2 sensors will report a lean condition to the ECM and it will add fuel to the engine to try to correct. You will see this in the fuel trim numbers.

So, yes, the ECM can cause the misfire, BUT if so, it's because something is not right in the engine. Have a qualified technician evaluate ALL parameters and determine what may be wrong. You've spent a lot of money on parts (O2 sensors, coils, plugs, wires, PCV valve and hose, alternator), and have invested a lot of your time. It's very possible that none, or only a couple, of those parts needed to be replaced. Invest in the expertise of a trained technician.

Serpintine belt

the easy way is to go to a dealership or used car lot and see if there is a diagram on other trucks "like yours". As for changing the belt, there are diagrams and illustrations in your truck in your local library.

The service shop left my oil cap off after an oil change. So far they have brought in 3 different caps, and none of them fit! Two came from parts stores and one from Mazda. I have a 2004 Mazda 6i 2.3L 4...

I had the same problem finding a replacement oil cap after my husband left the cap off. The usual auto parts stores didn't have one that fit. I had to order the cap through the dealership. The problem was that Mazda changed the oil cap midway through the production year. Try oil caps from the years on either side of yours: if you have a 2004 vehicle, try getting a 2003 and 2005 oil cap.
