All of the power windows just went out on my 04 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The power locks work on the passenger side door but not on the drivers side. None of the controls work on the drivers side including the mirrors, windows, or locks.Also, no windows open at all.The interior lights remained on even when the car was off because the overhead control panel was reading that the drivers side door was ajar. I took out the interior light fuse so the lights go off to avoid a dead battery.I used keyless entry to lock the doors and all of the locked except for the drivers side.

Slide the rubber boot up and check the wires in the hinge of the doors. I will bet anything that the wires are broken. that was what was wrong with mine. just splice them back together and everything should work fine.

1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4 x 2, windows and door locks work on driver side, but not passenger side.
sounds like an open power or ground circuit on passenger side,since the door lock and the window,lost its functioning.Both switches would have to be bad at the same time,which is not probable, to be the fault. Unless there is a saftey lock out switch on the drivers panel,controling the passenger side door lock and window.

Sounds familiar - I pulled the rubber boot back and found the black wire was broken. I stripped the wires and put on a couple bullet connectors (terminators) and all is good. Just wish I would have seen this post before I took the door panel off... Oh well...
