Question about 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee
Slide the rubber boot up and check the wires in the hinge of the doors. I will bet anything that the wires are broken. that was what was wrong with mine. just splice them back together and everything should work fine.

Dave the lock actuator needs to be replaced in the driver door if you need any more info go and save money go to collisionrepairadvice.com
