My 1999 Ford Contour SE wont start

It's possible that the defective plugs blew out the Ignition Control Module. Are you getting any spark from the plugs? Try removing one of the plug leads, hold it about 1/4" from a metal surface, and have someone crank the engine. You should see a strong spark. If not, then I'd replace the ICM and see what happens.

Code po455 reading on scan...mech. checked all hoses from engine to rear of vehicle all fine...i hate to spend $$$ on someone trying to find...gave my car complete tune up and light still on...HELP

PO 455 -- Evap System Gross Leak

That wasn't a mechanic you went to

All hoses or Evap Solenoids are not fine
& a tune -up is no more than spark plugs

That has nothing to do with diagnosing an evap issue

Need a professional scan tool & evap smoke machine
& a knowledgeable person to do the work

Service engine light stays on

that means a mechanic needs to check your vehicle. the computer has detected something wrong and has sent out a code. a mechanic will read that code and determine what is wrong with your vehicle. if you have an Autozone near by, they will read that code for free and tell you what is wrong.

1995 ford taurus stalled and will not start

Okay had some thing like this happen to me ,First dose your car smell like something like plastic is burning under the hood ? If not try having your mech do a scann on your car . I found than they can pin point but my car totally baffled them It would run after replacing every senor. My mechanic also found the big problem There is a big bundle of wires runiing behind the engine. Just above the rear manifold .(back spark plugs) Look down and see a wire harness it can get on the manifold and melt throught the thick insulation and burn wires and give false codes .this wire harnes and the big bundle of wires run the whole car so be car full
