A common problem on the 4.9 , 3.8 , and 3.4
is intake manifold gasket failure GM has not recalled
this problem , look for oil and anti freeze marks on side of the block . Or the oil dipstick for milky
residue . Sometimes an engine light will be triggered also . You can also have the emmissions test to detect High levels of Hydro Carbons . From the coolant cap location this will tell you if its a internal problem like head gasket
or intake .

02 Buick Park Ave has a gas smell on dipstick plus white smoke Out exhaust sometimes engine jumps lifter ticks and dic and instrument panel not working no visible coolant leak or chocolate like substance...

Gasoline is entering and contaminating the engine oil. It can only enter through the leaking injectors.
Inspect, clean or replace the injectors and replace the engine oil immediately.

98 Park Ave 3800 Rough, Blue Smoke, Radiator Dry, Code P0306 ???

Yes, it could all be a leaking head gasket. The coolant could be going into the oil pan and you could be loosing compression thru the gasket.
A mechanic would run a compression test on all 6 cylinders and check for leaks.

My buick park ave ultra ran hot til the point that it shut off and wont start.someone told me it could be my head gasket

Never have seen a bad head gasket on a 3800. Your problem could be the upper intake manifold had gone bad and leaked all of the coolant into the combustion chamber. If you run any engine too hot, you will need to replace the engine as excessive heat will warp cylinder bores, heads , valves etc. Seek a good used engine and never drive a overheated engine unless you can afford a replacement engine.

I have a 1991 buick park ave my car doesnt over heat but mu coolant lights comes and i guess on the left side of the engine it has a container like for wenshield water but its not do i poor coolant in that...

If the coolant light comes on & your
coolant bottle is empty,your loosing
coolant somewhere

Most likely an intake gasket or head gasket

Your statement --- it doesn't over heat
Then why is the coolant light on ??

Fill the container and have it checked
at a repair shop

Head gasket

These cars do not have head gasket problems you need to remove the sparkplugs to get the coolant out and replace the black upper intake manifold as they will leak coolant into the combustion chamber. Common problem.

Just changed head on '98 volvo 940.Coolant keeps

If you have no leaks you can see, you have a internal problem.
1) Head gasket not sealing off properly
2) Cracked head and/or block
Purchase Block leak tester, for your coolant system and follow instruction. If it test reveals combusting gas in coolant. You will need to pull Cly. head for further testing.

Oil mixing with coolant.Car is overheating, coolant is tan.Had radiator tested. It's not trans fluid.Oil level fine and no coolant in oil.Oil on top of heads look fine.Buick park ave 150,000 miles 1998...

If this is a 3800, Upper Intake Plenum or Lower intake gaskets are an inevitability. Head gaskets on these engines rarely go out! Seriously, don't get duped. I am doing the job on my grand prix right now. Google it for further explanation.
