My ac come on for a while and then starts blowing out hot air?

A/C systems are more complex than most people realise...
The Freon level must be sufficient to provide enough pressure to actuate the pressure switch on the low end line...
There is a relay that turns the coolent fans on...
a climate controle switch in the dash...
an electric clutch on the compressor
and a PCM to control this all...

If your Freon level is low this condition will arrise...
Have your service tech look it over... my first thought is freon level...

The air conditioner blows warm air. can I fix it? How much should it cost (canadian $)?

couple of reasons this can happen:
1. Low refrigerant....if it is a 1995 or newer you could "do it yourself" for under $20.
2. Low coolant levels...check coolant and fill if neccessary
3. AC Fan needs replaced.....$200 just for the fan
4. AC unit is bad.......$300.00 - $400.00 to have it replaced
5. Thermostat needs replaced....$10.00 "do it yourself"
Check your fuses and relays
Hope this helps

Fan not blowing on air condition

The fan will not run untill the relay kicks the A/C on.The system is low on freon not allowing the presure switch to close aloowing the relay to power the fan.Add some 134A freon to the system!

My chevy ac blows only on fan speed 5 what could it be

It is a 99% chance you need a new fan speed resistor board.
It is beside the fan motor.... it sits in the heater/AC duct work to use the air flow to cool itself.
It costs about $35 and takes 15 mins to change.
Did you loose one speed then another and now only high works?
That's the usual way they fail.

1998 gmc sonoma air conditioner - not cold

Check the magnetic clutch is engaged on front of a/c pump, have the motor running, a/c on and fan on high, if the centre hub is static the pump in not switched on, this can happen when the gas pressure gets low.

Where's the low A/C recharge valve in 1995 GMC Suburban?

The valve will be under your hood, on a line that runs from your AC pump, and it will have a blue cap on it. It's about three times as big as a tire valve cap. It sounds like you should let someone else do it.

Blower fan does not shut off and AC does not blow cold on MAX

It seems the AC switch is faulty maybe it doesn't contact the compressor wire on the MAX.
Check the switch.
