First thing I would do is head in to PEP boys or autozone & see about a free scan for any trouble codes.

Does tailpipe show signs of running rich by chance? Black soot, like getting too much fuel? Try pulling a couple of plugs to see what they look like. (wet looking?)

OBDII Codes 2006 Chevy 2500HD w/ 6.6L Duramax "Truck started losing power when warm, when cold for the first 10 miles or so the trunk runs great."

You need a dealer, there is a real problem going on here, way over the head of any home do it yourselfer. The main reason is the special tools required to interface with the control modules that are throwing these codes

I changed cam phasers and runs great when cold. When it warms up it stalls at stop lights and gets difficult to restart

have vechicle code scanned bad engine coolant temperature sensor will cause vechicle to stall out and hard to crank when cold.

My check engine light is on and I had it checked at

the iat sensor(intake air sensor) it is in big hose from air cleaner and has a 2 wire plug on it.iat sensor monitors tempurature of air entering engine. the pcm uses this info, to balance air and fuel mixture. if bad it can cause; poor idle when cold, stumble on cold excelleration, and surging when engine is warm. I replaced the iat on my malibu and it was less then 20.00, any auto parts store shold have this, I know advance auto does. the sensor just pulls out from hose.

Cold start

Obviously a sensor feeding wrong info to computer for cold start/running. Will save money in long run if you have it scanned for free at auozone, or PEP boys.

1996 cavilier runs great until it warms up

It may be the ignition module. You will need to check to see if you have spark to the plugs when
it stalls. If not the module may be the problem. You will need to remove the module and take it to
a auto parts store that has a tester that can check it.
