I think its to old to have sensors on the rear brakes, but if you look at the hubs on the axle side and see wires coming out then yes you have a sensor, the serpintine belt has a wheel that doesnt run anything ( like the altenator or water pump) you put a socket or wrench on the bolt of that wheel and u can relieve the tension that way and replace the belt. im in little chute and can stop by and show you if u need help

SOURCE: serpentine belt

When you open the hood there is a diagram on a sticker that shows exactly how to do this. Should be on the front lip or the side of the engine compartment. You have to make sure you get it lined back up right and remember to check it once the engine has been started and make sure it running on all the pulleys correctly.

Here is a good diagram that should be able to help in case your sticker was damaged or removed. Good luck!

SOURCE: serpentine belt

it is on a sticker adhered to your radiator shroud.
if it is removed, damaged, or unclear...

one tip - if you look by the crankshaft pulley to the right you will see a tubular looking shaft about 1" diameter , you will notice you can't get the belt out from under this piece , it has a nut on it , once you take the nut off , you will notice it has a star shaped point on the tip of the stud , it requires a reverse torx socket or wrench to remove the stud , when you get the stud out the tube piece it can be removed , then the belt comes off , replace the belt , now comes the tricky part , fitting that tube spacer back into its spot , it can be difficult , once its in place put the stud back in , and put the nut on and tighten it.

SOURCE: serpentine belt diagram?

Should be a diagram sticker in the engine compartment, either under the hood or around the top of the radiator.

SOURCE: how to replace a serpentine belt on a 2004

  1. Lift the car so you can work from underneath when needed.
  2. Disconnect the battery . Just to be safe.
  3. Take the serpentine belt off.
  4. Remove the alternator.
  5. Remove the A/C compressor. (You can do it without removing, but it's a royal PITA... LOL) Don't unhook the lines, just unbolt and move out of the way.
  6. Remove the worn tensioner from t he block. (You need to unbolt the pulley first to get to all the tensioner bolts)

I need steps to install a serpentine belt for a 1998 Buick Lesabre 3.8 liter motor. i need this info ASAP please!

This is the routing of the serpentine belt on the GM 3.8L V6 3800 engine.
It is used in many Buick, Pontiac, Chevrolet and Oldsmobile cars.

When this is on, the traction system is disabled. A problem in the ABS system is usually the cause, and would have to be scanned for codes. Sometimes an engine problem that causes a check engine light will also cause the TRAC OFF light to come on. In this case, the PCM would have to be scanned for codes." line[number++] = "The security system on todays cars and trucks prevents the vehicle from being stolen. My steering stopped working but as long as I wasn't turning right or left the van ran well but then it starting having a knocking sound and now it won't turn over. It isn't out of oil. Help!

Check your serpentine belt in the engine compartment. It could have broke which would explain the power steering pump failing and now the battery could be dead since it was not being charged. If it is the belt, once it is replaced you should only need to jump the battery.

Need 1993 plymouth voyager serpentine belt diagram

Which engine?
To replace the drive belt or serpentine belt on a Voyager check the engine size. For 2.4L engines, a serpentine belt runs the air conditioning compressor and alternator. For 3.0L models, the alternator and power steering share a belt with a separate belt for the AC. Dodge recommends checking the belts every 15,000 miles or 12 months for possible replacement. I have gone 3 yrs with one.. it will start squealing when you turn on the heater to defrost..

http://www.automd.com/46/how-to-replace-a-serpentine-belt/

Most replacement belts have a diagram on the package. However, the easiest way is to pay close attention to the belt you are taking off, and replace the new one the same way. The pulleys themselves are usually 'grooved' or 'smooth' which tells you whether the front or back of the belt is against it. The hardest part is figuring out how to release tension on the idler-pulley. If you can get the belt on and the idler/tension pulley (same thing) pulls the belt tight, chances are you got the belt right. If you don't know what I mean, then the mostest best way is to get a Clymer Manual and read up. Its really a simple thing to do yourself.

I used a long heavy duty screw driver to release the tension on a Pontiac Sunbird.. the belt will only fit on one way..
