Question about 2004 Chrysler Sebring

Remove and replace convertable top on a Chryster Sebring

We want to replace the convertible top on our Sebring. We have a replacement top that has the frame and everything. The hydraulic lines have been cut, on the replacement top, so we will use the old ones. How do we get the old top off, so we can put the new top on? On the replacement all that we have to do is glue the back window in.

How to make my convertible top come up without assistance?

If it will go down completely,it won't need fluid. And needing 2 people just to put the top back up can be a problem if it's about to rain.Sounds like the pump is weak from use and needs replaced, and it needs all the power when folded.Rather than replace the hydraulic pump, first oil the joints with a light spray lubricant and see if it will work. Those joints may be worn and binding when folded.Kinda like your grandpas knees,he needs help getting up from a crouched position.

1996 audi cabriolet 2.8 V6 convertible top motor needs fluid how do i add the fluid to the convertible top motor?! and what type of fluid does it need?

Almost all power convertible tops are electric over hydraulic. The ecectric motor runs a hydraulic pump. The pump pushes fluid to the cylinders that work the top. Most are located behind the rear seat backrest. Either remove the rear backrest or access the motor/pump from the trunl. It will be shaped like a cylinder. At one is the electric motor, at the other end is the hydraulic reservoir. At the end of the reservoir is a rubber plug. With the top down, remove the plug and fill it with tran fluid till it over flows. replace the plug and cycle the top up and down as far as it will go. Repeat the process till it will take no more fluid. A turkey baster with a piece of vacuum line makes a good filler tool. With that said, you must find the leak. You may have a leaking pump, hydraulic line or cylinder. RNever replace one line. Do them all. Always replace cylinders in pairs.

I have a 1996 chryster Sebring Convertible jxi 2.5L 6cy startes and runs ok but when u go to drive sometime it goes and sometimes it dies

I have a car just like yours. My car use to do the same thing. When I checked for a code, it showed nothing. I would be driving down the road, sometimes 50-60, and it would just cut off. I bought a MAP sensor and that fixed my problem. Hope that helps.

Is the fuel filter external or internal on a 2000 chrysler sebring convertable. 2.5 V-6?

The fuel filter is external, will be an in-line fuel filter meaning it's screw into the fuel line, more then likely will be under the hood over by the fire wall.
