    Sorry,of course,

The problem is that my front left break pad is making loud squeaky sounds and I thought was a stone but have since realised that it is not. I have had this car for 6 years and this seems to be a constent problem??? I can't afford to get it fixed through a garage and am wandering if it can be done at home???

How do I change the timing belt assy.

It will be best if you get a workshop manual for the job and it will explain what you have to do and what tools are needed
ultimately you will be spending as much as if you have an accredited workshop do the job
Remember any costly mistakes they make are covered by warranty, where you mistakes cost extra
The only thing you will be saving is the labour costs and as it will take you probably 3 times longer to get it right even that is cheap
Accredited shops will recommend the replacement of cam and crank shaft seal, hydraulic tensioner , idler pulleys and belt which will amount to around $700 dollars regardless of who does the job as this is the job done professionally and it means that you will get the next 60.000 miles or 100.000 klms belt trouble free
Take short cuts ( which you will do to save money)and the job may have to be done again in half the expected distance.

this is a job requiring experience as if it is not done properly will leak

Our intake gasket on our 2002 Chevy Malibu is leaking coolant. Is this a problem that can be repaired in an at home garage by a friend who is a mechanic? Or is the job too big and needs more than your...

Any job can be done at home provided you or your mechanic friend has the proper tools and understanding to perform the job. If you're a beginning do it yourselfer or just need a refresher I would highly advise getting yourself a service manual for your vehicle at your local auto parts store. It will have decent instructions and pictures in performing most of the jobs you may encounter for your vehicle. Also you may want to take pictures or make notes before anyone removes any components or lines in order to remove your intake. If you need any help with this procedure let me know and good luck

How hard would it be tochange the fuel filters on my 2003 F350 superduty 6.0 liter

I would not advise this job be done at home, there is allot of spilled fuel and if no done right u will end up with a no start (see lots of posts on this problem) from air in the lines, bleeding the system is difficult and not a job for a do it yourself mechanic, you will almost certainly end up having it towed to the dealer for a crank no start. I am a 25 year Ford dealer tech, so very sure on this answer.

Clutch overhaul

I don't know that car in particular but the transmission must be removed and reinstalled.
I have done this on other Fiats without help but not without a lot of profanity, skinned knuckles and inventing supports and guides to get the transmission back in again.
Even having a friend won't help much since working at home, you will be half under the car and there isn't room for a buddy.

A well equipped shop will have the needed facilities to do this job with ease.
