Question about 1996 Jeep Cherokee Sport
When going down the highway. Jeep will be running fine then all of a sudden it will start to bog down and sputter. What is the fuel pressure supposed to be on a 1996 Jeep Cherokee 4.0 inline six? Maybe the fuel pump?
Do not replace the fuel pump until you check the computer. trust me.

I just posted a simular resonse in another post. What is sounds like it that the fuel pump is starting to go bad. When it heats up after use the pressure drops not pusing the full amount of fuel. Whenits cold it works fine until it heats back up 10-20 mins. remember fuel in the tank helps cool the pump so keep it soewhat full but sounds like the damage is done. your probally gonna have to replace it.
