KIA RONDO RIDES LIKE A TRUCK - - A HARD RIDE

I have a 2008 Kia Rondo.  I like many things about it (visibility, size, economy), but it drives like a truck or sports car. A very hard ride.  Is there anything that can be done?  I've been told that a softer tire would help, but am reluctant to spend $400 or more and find it is not a solution.  How about changing the shock absorbers (struts)?  Does anyone have any suggestions?

It's the 17" tires! When I bought my 2007 Rondo EX, I had the dealer swap the 17" wheels for 16" wheels from an LX. Ride became smooth, handling not quite as sporty, but cost of replacing tires cut in half, and life of tires at least doubled. Of course, there's no way to tell the software about the different tire size, so for over 7 years now I've lived with a speedo that reads 3mph high at 70 and an odo that reads about 4% high ... but it's worth it.

Well i must say, not much can be suggested here...a hard and tough ride is what rondo promises...that's actually not a fault..any kind of additional non-authenticated changes can hamper the vehicles credentials .. so i would suggest, if u r having a tough time coping with it, better sell it off than change it..

I fully agree with you. Shocks (or struts) are very stiff and I do not feel comfortable with its ride. My six year old son always complain about that he feel disgusting because the car rides like a truck. Especially passengers at the rear seat feel uncomfortable.

How do I remove the rear spark plugs on the firewall on a 2008 Kia Rondo with a 2.7 liter engine

a bit of this & that; probaly need a jack (raise engine relative to body/firewall or opposite that) and an assortment of socket extensions, swivel joint & patience. Do it w/ engine cold & use a little 'never sieze' on new plugs. It is possible, just not convenient.

What does the safety fuse in a 2008 Kia Rondo do

Keeps you cool when the juice has been shorted. That too is a funny, but quite accurate. A fuse is a piece of wired that is designed to melt when it gets above a certain temperature. At a given voltage (12 in the case of your Kia), various amounts of current (Amperes) generate differing amounts of heat. The fuses are thus rated in Amps - which is their current limit. When you go above that, because of something like a short, or trying to draw more current than the wiring can handle, instead of having the wires melt or a fire start, the fuse melts or "blows" instead. That's a good thing.
