Replacing 90 pipe assembly part on 1997 Grand Prix GT

On a Pont 1997 Grand Prix GT 3.8l, the part is called a pipe assembly by GM, part #24503423 and it is a plastic 90 elbow located near the alternator and is connected to the tensioner assembly and leads to the intake manifold. How do I replace this part?

Thanks, but I figured it out and have already replaced the part.

It is a PVC 90 degree elbow pipe. The plastic bag the part came in called it a pipe assembly, so I went with that for the description. The part was being replaced because it had a crack and was spewing antifreeze on the engine.

Elbow is cracked and spewing antifreeze onto the engine. How long should it take to do the work to replace?

I cannot visaulize the part. I suspect it is a vacuum pipe or pcv pipe if it goes to the intake. I need to know if it is for antifreeze,or why you are changing the pipe?. Thanks

If its the same as my GTP, its just under the Supercharger right in the middle of the intake.
Just pull it out, its only held in with a O-ring. When you replace it, make sure you lube the gasket with grease so its easier to put back in, and less likely to nick the O-ring.

Drl location 2006 grand prix

Pont Grand Prix; has 16 pin DRL module, fuse removes DRLs and Auto-ON (there is also a fuse for air bags, SRS)
believe most recent GM models (99+), use a VCR tape sized DRL module that will be under the dash, behind radio, glove box, over pedals, etc are typical locations for your car in various years.. There are two 8 pin connectors to it

Where is the ECU located on a 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix GT?

Memory serves me correct it is located underneath the air cleaner box, however replacing one will have to be reprogrammed to the vehicle by the gm dealer to the vin # of your car.

Do I need a spring compressor just to remove and replace the front left and right strut mounts on a 1997 pontiac grand prix gt?

If your replacing it with a quick strut which is the spring, mount, and strut assembly then a spring compressor is not required. If replacing just the mounts then definitely a spring compressor is required. Please use extreme caution when compressing and removing strut assemblies as the springs maintain alot of pressure on them.

check all fuses for turn signal and brake lights.change fuel filter . first. do a little tune up change spark plugs and wires . if changing fuel filter dont help. have fuel pressure check first before buying a new fuel pump .they run after taxes 400.00 dollars. your fuel pressure should be 41 to 47 psi. replace fuel pump relay also.
