Central locking opens all doors but when i go to pull open my door it locks them all.

Most central locking systems are controlled by a electronic module of some kind . BCM - body control module . Different car manufactures call them by other names. ford - SJB smart junction box , Chrysler - BCM or TIPM - totally integrated power module . Well enough of that , these modules receive input signals from door sensors , The little light on the dash that shows a door is open , door ajar switch etc.... Do the doors lock again when opening any other door on the vehicle ? If not there could be a problem with the door ajar switch inside the drivers door . And most central locking systems are not suppose to let the doors lock with the key in the ignition . There may also be DTC's - diagnostic trouble codes stored in the BCM or what ever module your vehicle make calls it . I suggest you take you vehicle to a good local independent repair shop or dealer , that has a professional grade scan tool . Auto parts stores do not have a scan tool that can check BCM codes. Nor can a simple code reader . I suggest you watch this guy's videos . Not the same problem as yours but will give you some idea what can happen when sensor inputs act up . Door Locks Go Crazy 1 If you look at the door jam with the door open you'll see a rubber boot going from the door to the car body. There are wires in side . that go to the power windows an locks . B+ an ground wires etc.... From hundreds of times of opening an closing the door , wires can an will break sometime causing strange problems .

What and where can I find a common fault causing suddenly the remote key lock, horn, signal lights and front lights to stop working

You may have a wiring harness problem there, Kjell. Do the door locks work from each individual door? Many vehicles have two fuse boxes - one under the hood and another inside the car somewhere - typically on one side or the other of the dash. Consult your manual. If you don't have one, get one. you need it now, and you will inevitably need it later.

Locking mechanism clamps not activating. Still making all right noises but not actually locking

You wrote ''The dash is signalling that there is a door ajar somewhere when there is not''.

Car will not lock doors if all doors aren't closed so that's why you can't lock your door.

Car is thinking that doors aren't closed .
Just look for all doors latch and closed door contact switches.
You will find one or more that isor are not working.

Change those door contacts and everything will work fine.

When i closed my gas door it locked, how do i open it?

There will be a release inside your car. I'm not positive where it might be, but the most common place for a volvo seems to be somewhere on the passenger door. If it's not there it may be on the dash, below the driver's seat, center console.

Rear hatch door won't lock dash light showing

You need to tighten the lock mech on the boot lid. this will close the boot just enough more to turn the light on. It's no biggy, you might need a star driver depending on bolt head. move it into the boot lid approx 4mm to start. then 1mm until 10mm. if no joy then it may be the sensor.
All the best

Power door locks dont work

hello on the door locks not working could be a couple problems open the driver side door and were the door hinges are there is a small tube with wires in there that runs from the door into the side of the kick panel inside of the car these wires are your windowns locks and more now were the door open you will have to cut tube with a razr knife so you can see if any of the wires are broken now if there is no wires broken now the power door lock actuators inside the front right-and left door could be bad or the door look swiches this is not unlikey you can check this by removing the door panel you will see a rod or cable going from the door lock down the bottom of the door

now on the key not working that sounds like the door lock rods there that hooks to the lock on the inside of the door is off or one of the plastic clips that hold the rods has broken if it is not locking or unlocking your doors it is not unlikey for both sides to be broken you will have to remove the door panels to check
