Question about 2000 Ford Windstar
My Ford windstar 2000 van is missing, giving error codes P1131, P0171, P0174. Especially when going uphill, it slows down, misses and I have to park it on the shoulder and then start it again, very painful. I changed the oxygen sensor in the engine but haven't changed the one by the catylytic converter. I have also changed the idle positioning sensor. Please advise.
It is almost always the upper intake gasket that throws these codes. I would recommend replacing the gasket and intake bolts. Parts cost around 100.00 and labor 125.00.

Since you are getting the 171 and 174 at the same time you need to replace the mass air flow sensor.then clear the codes. After which take the car for a drive and let me know how it does.
