thank you for responding. mechanic suggested checking o-rings that seal injecters to head. all were dry and cracked, some were partialy gone. replaced all of them, problem gone. runs great. no longer losing oil. now to answer your question, had sample of fuel inspected-analyzed from fuel tank. result was engine oil in fuel.

what makes you think it's going into fuel tank?

it's more likely going out the tail pipe(smoke) or into coolant

thats a sign of a blown head gasket

what kinda boost pressure are you running

has engine been overheated any time soon?

You have a bad Injector O-ring. It is letting high pressure oil over power the diesel fuel pressure.

O-ring kits are available for $7 for each injector.

I have a 2002 Dodge Ram 2500 5.9 liter 4 by 4 n truck started misfiring losing oil and don't know where the oil is going but the check engine light is flashing 20 times and it feels like its only running...

you need to take this to a shop. a flashing check engine light means that what set the light is causing harm either to the engine or the emission system. the lose of oil could be the truck burning oil if you have checked for oil leaks and have not found any.

Did you ever change the fuel pump? most of the time when fuel pump is weak does that on hills, and then is hard to restart

Fuels gets in the oil pan an i lose about 70 miles per tank of gas

There is a fuel leak in the fuel line running on top of the engine head. It is somehow getting into the engine oil breather and dripping into the oil sump! This is very dangerous!!! Get it fixed right away...FIRE and EXPLOSION hazard!!!

1996 F250 powerstroke 7.3L keeps dying

It is sometimes difficult to determine exactly what is wrong with the 7.3L engines. Many times it is hit and miss for the do-it-yourselfer. It sounds like you are getting enough fuel at first and then fuel is being constricted. You might want to try changing the fuel filter. Sometimes debris becomes lodged in the fuel tank switching valve which would require cleaning the valve or replacing it.

I have an 1996 f250 powerstroke and it is running rough.

The most common problem is a bad fuel injector but if you haven't already done so--check to make sure your oil level is all the way up to full.Power Strokes use a high pressure oil pump to operate their injectors and if your oil is at a low level it can cause air pockets in the lines going to the injectors. It's not a real common problem but I 've seen it happen maybe 10 times.Another cause is using the wrong kind of oil. Some oils have a tendency to foam at high pressures and can produce air in those same injector supply lines. Good luck!

I have fuel pick up problems on a 1995 bonneville....gas guage says 1 quarter tank of fuel

I believe that the fuel pump and gas gauge are all one. They are located in the fuel tank. When they start going bad they sometimes start reading the amount of fuel left in tank incorrectly.

1995 firebird 3.4 fuel pump is inoperative

You can but if you ever lose your prim when parked over night or a few day's you may have a starting problem. The other thing too is that your going to have to run new wire's and keep in mind where you live might give you second thought's if there is snow in your area if your going to run it in the winter. That poor fuel pump is going to be exposted. You should be able to do the fuel pump in under 3 hours buy dropping the tank. Good Luck.

How to drain a gas tank in a 95 honda prelude

I woulldn't worry about that fuel too much. Let me know if you have done anything to the motor, i.e., cleaned the spark plugs, checked the oil, water/radiator fluid level...corrosion on the battery. What does it sound like when you try to start it?

They make products to add to the gas...fuel stabilizer for example.
