SOURCE: 94 Honda Ex Will not start Where is the Fuel Pump Fuse?

it is sometimes located on the engine bay or interior fuse box just check the labels.., or you can try turning your car on but dont start the engine try to check on the back portion or near the tank if you can hear the fuel pump. Failure or low pressure fuel pump will stall you engine.

SOURCE: 2.0l alfa 156 bad idle try every thing change 4

Change the idle air control valve. That seems to be your problem. The only other thing it may be is your air temp switch located on the air intake.

SOURCE: My Cadillac deville keeps popping codes p0171 and

You don't have MAF codes

Are you not aware you start with & diagnose
& resolved all code related issues first?

I don't see how you could change a MAF as you
won't know how to test it

PO-171 System too lean (Bank 1)
PO -174 System too lean (Bank 2)

That sounds like a vacuum leak that effects
both sides of motor

The front O2 Sensors get replaced at 100,000 miles

If that was done don't do them again unless they fail

80% of O2 Codes are vacuum leaks that lean out
the fuel mix. The Sensors are just reporting what they
see. It is up to a mechanic to find out why

When they report lean then the ecm adds fuel by
increasing injector pulse width thus bad gas mileage

I suggest buying a $50.00 code reader & study OBD2
Systems on the internet.

Engine is rough idling & hard to start

Start system. Most likely bad connection to Block temp sensor that sends data to ECU there are two sensors, one for the dash temp gague, and this one. I had this problem on 20 yr old car.
Found the correct sensor removed connector cleaned connector with contact spray and toothpick, scraped male spade connector on sensor to bright metal. Cleared codes. Instant start, just like new. Didn't have to change sensor as many claim needs to be done. Hope this helps. Sorry I don't know where yours is. Try a google image search for yr, Make model "Temp sensor" this one is probably near the back of the block. It has a "spring lock" to make sure it stays on. The dash temp is just a standard electrical connector.

1998 obd2 codes

ok , you scanned it (old post)
you see EVAP codes, unsated.
gas cap loose?
reset button on scanner, drive with tight cap. (easy stuff)
no it still fails, new, cap? still fails.
ok the easy peasy stuff done.
this is the tank vents failing or the EVAP test devices bad.
in a shop we do the tank leak downtest, (cap adaptor)
and it fails, we find the lines (vent) cracked) and its fixed
or passes this, and we test the evap control valves and 1 fails.
all this is covered in the FSM every step, no guessing and no secrets.
alldata.com
or
suzuki pit stop plus.

yes, google for URLs.. both are top choices.

Tail light electrical connectors are fried, i need to replace the connectors cant find them online? help

Call your local junkyards to see if any of them have any Silhouettes in their inventory with tail lights still installed. If they do, remove the tail light that you need, disconnect the connector and examine the connector (both Male AND Female sides) to make sure it's not fried too. On mine, both the male and female pins connected to the green(Ground) wire in the vehicle harness that was corroded.

If it looks good, install the connector and cut the wiring on the vehicle side a foot back from the connector and remove the complete tail light assembly with the connector.

The Female connector is built into top of the Lamp Holder Assembly and since both pins are corroded, the Lamp Holder must be replaced at the same time as the harness side.

Cut the damaged part out of your car leaving enough of your harness to splice the wires together. I soldered mine and covered them each with shrink fit tubing at the joint then wrapped all the junctions with electrician's tape for protection and some water integrity??

By the way, the complete Tail Light Assembly cost me $40.00 and I wound up with a spare left lens!

Hope this helps.

Turn signals do not work but everything else works even the emergency flashers

I have found a lot of these turn signal switches bad but check fuse 27 if ok This is a tip turn key one and put turn signal switch in the left or right postion, then push and release the 4 way switch at least 10 times if at any time the turn signals start working while the 4 way switch is off the turn signal is bad. What happens is the contacks in the switch pit and buy working the 4 way switch a bunch of times it scraps through the pits. If they do start working change the switch this isn't a fix its just an easy way to pin point a common problem. If that did work here are the complete test.

Scenic megane 4 yr old, 13K miles, just had service,

Hi
faulty spark plugs is that the garage/dealer/mechanic said to you ?

Sounds like to me a ignition coil, and your car has 4 so this could possibly mean in the future more visits to the garage, to be sure I can suggest taking off the top engine cover and see if you have 4 grey ignition coils, manufactures name SAGEM, also now factory replaces with black coils.

2004 jetta does nothing when key turned

these motors suffer from dodgy starter contacts on the ignition switch, turn key and all lights on,push car and it starts ok but no starter motor.??these switches are dear as its a complete unit with steering lock,if this is the fault then fit an old fashioned push button switch on dash ---sorted.If you say epc light on then this is immobiliser ,try spare key if that dont work then its a dealer job to reset immobiliser unless someone knows how to by-pass it.Havent done one yet so i dont know how too,but i itching to get my diesel oil covered grimed in black hands on one to try and pit my wit against a four eyed nerd that invented the immobiliser system.
