Re: my check engine lights stays on
Hi, the best thing at at hispoint is to get a diagnostic review by using a diagnostic computer at the local dealership or garage. Once your car has been diagnosed, you will be able to reset the cpu and the light will go off. its probably just an O2 sensor or egr valve needed.

Do you have mirror above or near your front windshield? my lights stayed on a couple of times, and I had to get out my manual and see where to click them off. I think when I put my sun visor up it clicked it to the on position on the mirror. I don't have the same type car as you though, but that could be where your problem might be.
To review, the check engine light will stay on until the problem is fixed and the code or codes are erased. And if the O2 sensor is disconnected the light will stay on for sure. Do you have the trouble codes stored in the computer ? FYI - the cylinders should have over 100psi of compression.
The problem is the socket. Remove the bulb and bend the tabs in the socket so they make contact with the bulb. If this doesn't work you will have to replace the socket. A wire is broke and they usually break at or in the plug.
1.bend a paperclip into a u shape. 2.disconnect the yellow plug in your fuse box under the steering wheel and insert the paperclip into the plug that is now hanging there to complete the circuit.3.turn the ignition on and the srs light will stay on for 6 seconds, then turn off.disconnect the paperclip within 4 seconds after that and the light will come back on.4. reconnect the paperclip within 4 seconds and the srs light will turn off again.5.within another 4 seconds of it going off, disconnect the paperclip and the light will blink letting you know that you have completed all the steps right. you can also use some speaker wire
