Question about 2008 Audi A4

Audi A4 key will not come out after turning engine off

I have recently purchased a 2008 audi A4 avant (manual). After driving the car a few times, the key became difficult to remove on stopping. Only by various attempts (nothing very scientific involved) am I able to retrieve it. Takes an average of five minutes to remove. Not very convenient sitting outside the office struggling with it...

No problems the first few times I drove it but a problem every time now.

Hi!

You should lubricate them with small amount of lubricant such as WD 40. The lubricant will help to prevent those tiny pins in the lock from binding.
When you can’t remove or insert the key, this means that the lock cylinder are jammed (from lack of lubricant) or are already broken. If you feel something is not right with the lock, lubricate the lock immediately.
If this doesn’t solve the problem, replace the lock assembly.

When the lock cylinders are already worn, the cylinders lose the resistance at the stop position. It will be easy for the key to slip past a certain position where it is unable to remove the key. If this happen, try turning the key slghtly clockwise while pulling the key. If still you can’t remove the key, just replace with a new ignition lock cylinder

|That is probably the anti theft or a faulty ignition lock.

To start call the car dealer to ensure that this is not a jammed anti theft system, if the problem is not the anti theft system, then it is a faulty cylinder lock and must be replaced.

We just purchased a 2008 Audi a4. Sometimes when I drive the "Middle brake light warning" comes on and beeps. The car recently had a 20k service, new tires and new brakes done before we purchased it.

if it is a 2008 why don't you ask a dealer? it has to be under warranty. Asking an audi mechanic is light years ahead in common sense as opposed to asking strangers to look in a crystal ball.

my 215000mile Audi a4 starts immediately every time. Very likely to be timing related, especially if it was okay before the belt change. Hard starting for slightly mistimed engines is a known problem.

2001 Audi A4 Avant 1.9 TDI

hey
well Fuel pressure will cause this concern as with a failing fuel pump, also a misfiring engine from worn plugs or defective coils will cause any bucking/jerking if u have as you try to accelerate, but this would cause a check engine lamp. A bad Mass Air Flow sensor can also cause a poor acceleration and usually does not turn on the check engine lamp.
