MY 1992 BUICK LASABRE CUTS OFF AFTER DRIVING IT FOR ABOUT 30 MIN THEN IT WILL NOT START RIGHT BACK. IT THEN WILL START ONLY GO FOR FEW MILES THEN IT CUTS OFF AGAIN. IF I LEAVE IT ALONE FOR ABOUT 30 MIN IT WILL START AND REPEAT THE SAME PROCESS. DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT COULD BE CAUSING THIS. I WAS TOLD BY A FRIEND IT COULD BE THE INGITION Relay but when I search that part there does not se em to be that part for my car any help would be great

Is it spark or fuel that quits?I would start with changing the crank sensor as they fail on this model.

SOURCE: 2000 buick lesabre stall after starting or after running for 30 minutes

I have a 1996 Lesabre. I had a similar problem that slowly got worse. I brought it to two different mechanics that did diagnostic checks and could only "suggest" what to replace to fix the problem. Their problem was that it wouldnt stall out while they had the mv. After replacing a bunch of sensors and the fuel pump/ filter, I solved the problem by replacing the Crank Sensor. Its located behind the lower crank pulley on the 3.8 lt motor. Hope this helps!

SOURCE: My 2000 Buick lesabre cuts off while driving

Your fuel pump might be going bad. The reason why it cuts off is the fuel pump is pumping just enough to run it for a x amount of time that's why it shuts off but while it's off the pump is pumping fuel into the lines. If it's not the fuel pump then it might be your injectors.

SOURCE: car shuts off every time you let off the gas.

The first thing I would check is the idle air control motor located by the throttle valve. Sometimes they can become caked up with carbon and cleaning them out with carb cleaner or replacing them will fix the problem.

1992 Buick LaSabre engine lite!

I would assume you never retrieved the codes
& googled them-- to find out the system with the
possible fault
We have had Check Lights for over 30 years,
nothing new there, just remember you have an
OBD1 System (1981 thru 1995) OBD2 (1996 thru 2014)
Put the codes you get into Google along with your vehicle
for the problems & solutions

Car stalls after 30 min driving an wont start for about 45 min im getting a 0171 & 0300 code

PO-300 Random/Multiple Misfires

PO-171 (Bank #1) Too Lean --- O2 Sensor

Work on the Ignition Misfires first

The O2 Code may be a result of the misfire,
unless they are over 100,000 miles, then change them

I just had my oil sender replaced because of a oil leak. My oil pressure gage shows 29 idling up to 65 while driving at 40 miles an hour. What is the oil pressure supposed to be in a 2000 Buick LaSabre?

30 is ideal for idling im my car at around 35mph its at 60psi just depends on how condition of the oil pump and rod/main bearing if there worn out u will have lower presser.

I have a1997 buick 3.8 car run like **** code reader said missfire on on more then 1 cylinder went to start again and wont crank like it has to much comp batt and starter good

If it is a p0300 code I would look first at the coil(s). My 2002 has 3 coils (2 cylinders per coil). I just went through this problem with my 2002 with the 3.8 engine. I bought one coil and tested it in each spot. No change. Underneath the coils is the ignition control module. That was my problem and I suspect yours. It costs about $140. It is pretty easy to replace if you are a DIY person.

2001 Buick Regal cuts off while driving at times also won't start

The ignition switch on that model is rated @ 50amps. When I was driving my 2001 Regal LS (at 120,000 miles) and used the turn signal, the engine would die, when I switched the turn signal off, the engine ran. So I replaced the ignition switch, and all is well.
