Question about 1994 Buick Skylark
I will try and explain this the best I can. The car is a 1994 Buick Skylark. The problem is that when I insert the key into the ignition cylinder it will not move forwards or backwards. I can easily insert and remove the key. A couple times before it completely locked down the key had trouble turning but after some wiggling and patients it would turn.
Here is the troubleshooting I have done(all individually then at the same time): I have tried turning the key while I moved the steering wheel, depressing the brake, moving the column shifter and just simply turning the key and nothing else, but it won't move at all. I removed the plastic column cover to reveal no broken wires or parts, I don't know how to remove the lock cylinder but I did manage to remove the retaining clip at the front of the cylinder to wiggle the lock some to see if I could get something to move inside the lock that would allow me to move the key.
Someone mentioned getting a locksmith to come out and drill something out but I wasn't paying attention because of my frustration at the moment...
That's it and it's my only ride... Any help is deeply appreciated!
