First undo the hoses, there are 4 water hoses and 2 oil hoses, the bottom hose is difficult on the high side because of the alternator.
un plug the 2 wire connections (don't forget the locking tabs) then undo the air duct held by 2 screws. followed by 2 bolts located on the top of the radiator and lift the fans straight up
there are 2 larger bolts that hold the radiator in at the top. lift straight up.
when replacing be sure to place in locators in the bottom of radiator and fans

Overheating radiator on my 1997 EL Falcon. It seems to be leaking in the back of the engine on the passenger side which is causing the radiator to overheat and have hardly any water in it. I have replaced...

Your wasting your time and money doing that lot as your problem is either the heater hose on L/H/Side of engine split or leaking tap for heater or head gasket or the REAR CORE PLUG in rear of engine block rusty and needs replacing (dead centre of rear of block) but you will need to either use a mirror to see it or remove the engine and replace ALL welsh plugs.
Let me know how you get on.

I have replaced one before without removing the radiator, you will have to remove all the fans and shrouds and be prepared to skin a few knuckles if you do it this way.

Replace a 1997 tahoe radiator

make sure engine stays off for a while to cool engine. with a 10mm socket and long extensions and ratchet, remove the top Shroud there should be about 8 bolts, then remove top and bottom hoses, you'll need to probably buy new clamps, then remove with proper tool, the two lines from the transmisstion that are both on one side of the radiator. fairly easy, just takes a little time. good luck

Replacing a 1997 4 L petrol a/c radiator

If you are looking at replacing the "a/c radiator (called the condenser), It's a straightforeward '" take out, put in" operation. You need to remove the regular radiator first. Use flair nut wrenches when removing any steel or aluminium lines. on any lines that are "free standing" Use two wrenches... one to keep tube on component from twisting, one to remove feed line. Be aware that on a/c components, there is often residual freon in line still under pressure. Protect eyes when removing any lines. System will need to be evacuated & recharged after work is complete.Pay attention to ends of any lines removed. often there are small "o" rings which must be replaced. If only removing radiator, (for cooling system) just remove & replace. (trans lines are removed with flair nut wrenches as well)
