Question about 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix
Out of a of 95 grandam it will start for 2seconds and quit it has something to do with theft deterrt how do ibypass it or turn it off
Not sure about this as i have posted solutions in the past and been totally wrong.Does the key have a chip in it ?? if the answer is no then i doubt if its the immobiliser as i shouldnt think it has one,if it has then its operated by the drivers door lock. Its around this period that manufaccturers started using immobilisers so couldnt say but if it has an chipped key then its dealer only to reset it.But some of the first vehicles to use the immobilisers only isolated the fuel pump so by earthing the opposite side to the feed on the relay should do it ,but if its the later type then forget it as these cut out the earth to the management system and they are a right pig to try to bypass ,its a dealer only job and pay throught the nose. This sometimes works but not on all cars ,lock and unlock the drivers door three times slowly then jump in quick and try starting .
