Have the codes read... Repost. Want a guess, Injectors stuck open. Black smoke is to much fuel. Could be the pcm died also.

My 1993 dodge cheysle Plymouth. Mini van idles low and even dies sometimes when running smells of burnt exaust gas

Either a stuck injector, a bad fuel pressure regulator, or badly fouled spark plugs (or any combination thereof).

Gas in oil

Thinking fuel pressure regulator,it has a vacuum line connected to it,if the regulator diaphram ruptures it vacuum pulls raw fuel into the line.

1994 Mercedes S600 right side engine has raw gas smell. Not the oxygen sensor.

I would check the fuel pressure regulator first, pull the vacuum hose off and see if there is fuel in the line,if so the diaphram has ruptured and raw fuel is being sucked into the intake

Have a 1999 Pontiac Bonneville using too much gas

it sounds like a bad purge valve. if the diaphram in side it goes bad it will **** fuel into the intake through the vacume line attached to it, check it by removing the vacume line and look for signs of fuel. if its bad it can also fill you charcoal canister with raw fuel

Having trouble runing and cranking will crank sometimes when give it gas put in gear it dies new sparkpluggs fouled out smell oil when dies

PROBLEM COULD BE IGNITION MODULE OR BAD COILS.CHECK FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR.MAKE SURE ITS GETTING VACUUM.AT THE VACUUM DIAPHRAM.IF NOT LOOK FOR BROKEN OR DISCONNECTED VACUUM LINES ON THE VALVE COVER INTAKE MANIFOLD. LOOK FOR SIGNS OF GASOLINE IN THE VACUUM LINE OR FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR VACUUM DIAPHRAM.IF SO FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR NEED REPLACING.

91 626 4cyl non turbo will just shut off at stop when engine warm had code 9 change both temp sensors convertor plugs fire when it dies and smell like fuel now have code 17 any ideas

Code 17 is telling you that computer is not seeing Oxygen sensor changing like it should indicating rich or lean engine running condion. Since you are saying smell like fuel, I would guess at too rich. Is your fuel pressure ok. Pressure should be 27-33 psi with vacuum applied to pressure regulator and 34-40 with no vacuum applied. Also disconnect the vacuum line at the pressure regulator with engine running and check to make sure no fuel is present. Older pressure regulator diaphrams will often rupture which will allow liquid gasoline to be drawn directly into the intake manifold via that vacuum line. This could cause stalling and code 17 as well.

99 chevy silverado starts but then sputters out. I can start it over and over again but continues to die out.

is the security light flashing. could be a pass lock sensor problem.
do you smell fuel or see black smoke out the tail pipe. could be the fuel pressure regulator ruptured. it is located on top of the engine on the drivers side, its round and has one vacuum tube coming off it. remoe the vacuum tube and turn the key on to get some fuel pumping. do you see raw fuel dribbling out the pressure regulator. if so its bad, if not lets go back to the drawing board. mabye a mass air flow sensor or bad fuel pump, clogged fuel filter.

Using alot of gas. Shakes when at a stop light or when you stop at a stop sign. Smell of gas real strong when you first start my Mitsubishi. I have changed the plugs, wires, coil, distributor cap, fuel...

Sounds like a bad fuel pressure regulator.Pull vacuum line off regulator if fuel runs out regulator then the diaphram in the regulator is damaged.

2000 chevorlet silverado 2500 w 6.0 liter. Vehicle dies after start has rough idle and smells like fuel under heavy acceleration. Vehicle also bogs down when stopping heavier then usually. I have tested...

Sounds like a ruptured diaphram in the fuel pressure regulator. Fuel is being sucked into the motor through the vacuum line. remove vacuum line off regulator and see if there is fuel, or odor of fuel in the line , if so , the regulator is bad. Good Luck
