Are there any codes stored in the cpu. I had a g/cherokee that had the same symptons and a o/2 sensor fixed it. don't go changing parts without checking out the car first.

A/c doesn't work, temp gauge doesn't work, speedometer doesn't work until it gets to 30 mph, and rough idle in the mornings. could all this be the result of a bad computer?

Very unlikely that it would be a computer problem, it does not control the A/C, or temp gauge. Sounds like multiple problems. A/C could be just low on Freon, if pressure is low, it will not turn on. Temp gauge and rough idle may be related, if temp sensor is bad, the computer wont know the engine temperature and thus not mix the fuel correctly. But there are many things that can cause rough cold engine idle, like dirty throttle plate, or bad idle air control valve. You did not say what engine you have, so this is just general information.

Want idle on cold mornings.

Thinking possibly the air temp. sensor (mounted in the
air cleaner housing) Really need to see scan data to tell for sure
but that costs a fortune at a dealership.air temp sensor is fairly
cheap.

P2285 code 6.0 litre ford deisel long cranking before starting after starts runs great but oil pressure gauge drops at idle

bad bearings on crank or worn oil pump. Pressure will be up when cold, but will drop when engine warms up. Check for knock in lower end. If so, bad crank bearings.

2006 GMC 2500HD Duramax, started and let idle about 5 minutes then put in gear to leave. Noticed power-steering and brakes not working properly. Tried to turn wheel, back up press brake pedal, suddenly...

Larger than stock tires combined with the fluid being cold could cause this.Low fluid level due to leaks.Try cold climate fluid from gm if it just happend cold and no level problems are present.

Wont idle when cold. Especially on cooler mornings. Eventually it works fine. Sometimes it will clear after a hi rpm rev.

have someone check the engine temperature sensor to see what temperature it is telling the computer,if it is not telling the computer the correct temp, the computer won't give the engine more fuel on cold mornings

Stalls and wont idle when cold

many automobiles behave that way on a cold start, so you don't have to worry about it. just continue to rev the engine until it is warm!
